Ductless split or mini splits provide heating and cooling to room additions, garages or supplemental heating and cooling for any room. They can also be installed as primary heating and cooling in a home. These units consist of an outdoor condensing unit and indoor evaporators which mount on wall or are ceiling mounted as cassette units. These units are available in straight coil and heat pump units and seer rating range from 13-22 on an energy efficiency scale. These systems generally range from 1/2 ton to 3 ton in capacity.
